Asics GEL-Impression 9 Hit your first running targets in the Asics GEL-Impression 9 Running Shoes, which are built for those starting out in the sport. You'll be setting the bar higher in no time with these super-comfortable men's running shoes, packed with cushioning and showing off a look straight from the pro ranks. Two-Layer Breathable Mesh Upper The GEL-Impression 9 features a Two-Layer breathable mesh upper, which allows hot air to diffuse out of the shoe, and cool air to permeate the membrane and pass into the shoe. This helps to create a cool, dry environment within the shoe and results in increased comfort for the wearer. The upper also features overlays which help to maintain the upper's shape, while also supporting the feet and providing stability. For additional comfort, an EVA removable sockliner and padded tongue are included in the shoe design, which creates a snug fit while leaving ample room to accommodate a medical orthotic if the sockliner is removed. Layered Material is strategically stationed within the shoe to help to wick moisture away from the foot whilst you run. GEL® Heel Unit Midsole The GEL-Impression 9 features a rearfoot GEL® pod which provides cushioning in all directions, absorbs impact forces and helps to stabilise the foot during heel contact, resulting in a smoother ride and less stress being placed upon the wearer's joints. The GEL-Impression 9's midsole also incorporates a full stretch EVA midsole platform designed with flex grooves that strategically fold on impact. This folding design reduces the pressure on the underfoot, and allows the rearfoot GEL® unit encased in the EVA midsole to perform to its maximum capacity. A Trusstic System® completes the midsole to reduce the shoe's weight whilst maintaining the shoe's structural integrity.
